Ghost Train Kickstarter on the Morning News Tomorrow

The Ghost Train Kickstarter campaign will be featured on the morning newscast on Friday 6-24-11 at 9:40am, on Fox40! They'll be interviewing me and taking a look at my backyard attractions, which you can see in person, at my Summer Party, if you pledge $50.00 or more to the kickstarter campaign.

Currently Working on a Zhu Zhu Pets Movie

I'm currently working on StoryBoards for a Zhu Zhu Pets movie that will be going directly to video. I'm sure this will be a big hit and probably turn into a franchise since the toys have become so popular.

Neat Picture from Last Year's Ghost Train - Ghost at Dinner

This is an interesting picture from last year's Ghost Train attraction. The Ghost pictured is from our dinner table scene, it looks like they're are celebrating some sort of macabre birthday. You can see the cake in front of him and a spooky Jack-O-Lantern behind him.

Tom & Jerry Meet the Wizard of Oz

Tom and Jerry Meet the Wizard of Oz is one of the many projects I've been working on lately as a Storyboard artist. This one is a pretty wild pairing of some classic characters and themes. I don't believe there is a release date set yet, but I think people will dig it.

Ghost Train Kickstarter Press Releases Sent Out

All right we've done a pretty strong PR push for the Ghost Train Kickstarter campaign. We did a full local press release to all the Sacramento area Newspapers, News Stations, Blogs, Radio Stations etc.

We've also done a push to the Haunted Attraction world. We've contacted HauntWorld.com, HauntedHouse.com, HauntedAttraction.com, Haunted House News and more.

Hopefully you'll all see some good articles and write-ups on our campaign soon!

Wizards 1977, Directed by Ralph Bakshi

The feature animated film, Wizards from 1977, Directed by Ralph Bakshi is one of my favorite pieces of animated history. It's a really unique film that uses lot of interesting animation techniques. Very ahead of it's time.

The Looney Tunes Show on TV Now

I was a storyboard artist on the Looney Tunes Show for Warner Brothers. The show is currently airing on TV. Again I end up working on an update of an old concept, I think I'm starting to get type-cast here! I'm just kidding, I love the projects that I get the opportunity to work on. Whether it's brand new or an update of a cartoon I loved and watched growing up! Here's a cool shot from the show, Bugs is looking a little haggard.

Little Engine That Could 2011, Storyboards by Larry Scholl

I was a storyboard artist on the recently released Little Engine That Could by Universal Studios. You can pick it up on DVD now. Looks like it is selling very well according to the Amazon sales rank. It's always interesting to work on interpretations of classic stories like this one, to see the different angles they take to try and modernize the old stories.

"As I looked around I was amazed at how well done the party was.  I saw costumed characters, sitting in lounge chairs, watching trashy 1960’s movies on a big screen. I saw a beautiful kidney shaped pool glowing in the darkness.  I saw people setting up a table across the pool with interesting devices.  Just as I was taking it all in, I noticed to my right, that there were some flickering lanterns on a wooden wall.  I left my group and walked past the projector screen to see what this wooden building was.  As I grew closer I saw it was a ride!  What?  There was a Disney inspired ride, complete with turtles to sit in to be taken inside to whatever was in there!  I was pretty freaked out at this point.  When I thought of trill rides I thought “maybe they have a bungee thing or a rock wall to climb?” not an actual ride like at Disneyland!  It was shocking to find out that I was going to be able to ride this Mining Mountain ride!  I was bursting with excitement."

Private Party at My Estate (Ghost Train Kickstarter)

For those of you following the Ghost Train Kickstarter Campaign, you know you can win an invitation to my private party and see my personal animatronic attractions, Tiki Room, Indoor Movie Theater and more. The party held at my estate will be on August 20th from 9pm - 2am. We are allowing children to come from 8pm - 9pm to see the attractions, but this is an adult party and anyone under 18 must leave by 9pm. Be sure to get there by 8pm so your kids have time to see everything. This party is by invite only! If you're not on the list you won't get it in. The address will be sent to those on the list, when it gets close. Mark it on your calendars.
